A Trip to the Moon

This is a project where I was to pick a movie that is currently public domain and create a movie poster and a web banner in Adobe Illustrator. The movie I picked to design is ‘A Trip to the Moon,’ a movie made in 1902. There is a part in the movie where the astronomers first land onto the moon. Their ship is smoking and there are sharp mountains behind them. I wanted that scene to be the main focus of my poster so I recreated it in Illustrator and picked out all the colors I wanted the image to be. Then I found a typeface that fit the style of the poster and overall aesthetic of the movie. I did the web banner after I finished the original poster, I just moved around some of the elements so they fit the format of the banner so they compliment nicely.
